At least 24 foreign tourists and Nepalese guides have lost their lives because of the blizzard that hit the Himalaya region in Nepal on Tuesday, announced the authorities on Thursday, quoted by AFP.

According to the source, mountain rescue teams fear that five other people might have died in an avalanche in the same region.

The lifeless bodies of 24 people were found on the very popular tour route around Mount Annapurna. The rescue teams are trying to reach hundreds of people with which no contact could be established.
