Abu Sayyaf

The Abu Sayyaf Islamist group threatened to kill two German hostages held in the Philippines if the Berlin Government will not cease to provide support to the Western coalition, led by the USA, against the Islamic State terrorist organization, according to BBC News Online.

The Abu Sayyaf organization decided to join the Sunni terrorist group, the Islamic State (The Islamic State of Iraq and Levant / The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria – IS/ISIL/ISIS), which proclaimed “Islamic caliphate” in regions of Syria and Iraq.

In a video, the Philippine fundamentalist organization presented two German citizens taken hostage in April, threatening that they will be executed if the Berlin Government will not pay a ransom and will not cease to support the international coalition against the Islamic State terrorist group.

Germany announced that it has “heard of these news reports”, stating that it will not withdraw its support from the coalition against the Islamic State terrorist group.

„Threats are not an appropriate way to influence our policies in Syria and Iraq”, declared the spokesman of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
